Mindfulness Workshop: The Body

In response to the two sold out sessions at YogaLoft recently. Mary Niker will be leading a two hour Mindfulness session focussing on The Body at YogaLoft in London.

In Mindfulness we use different tools to help settle the mind & become more mindful, in this session we will give focused attention to the body. In other sessions to come we will look at sound for support & breath for support.

 

In this workshop you will learn about 'The Body' as a place to stay present; dwell; reside; live; have one’s home; have one’s residence; be settled; be housed; We will practice the body scan - sometimes known as 'the feeling exercise'. We are seeking to increase body awareness and will also introduce the idea of bringing mindfulness into your daily life & your daily activities.

PAST EVENT - 5 Week Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC)

The Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) is similar to other mindfulness based courses, such as MBCT or MBSR, but it also includes methods for nurturing self-compassion and compassion for others. The aim of MBLC is to help individuals develop an in-depth personal experience of mindfulness and develop a sustained personal practice with a view to applying this into their practice everyday life. MBLC Meets the Good Practice Guidelines and is a recognised course by the UK Network of Mindfulness Based Teachers.

This course is suitable for beginners or those seeking to deepen their practice. Each session consists of explanation, guided practices and group reflection and inquiry. Also include are handbook, notes and guided meditation audio downloads. 

Tuesdays, 12pm-3pm
